Patterns I is designed to tackle sewing clothing, right from the beginning. We cover commercial patterns and the skills you’ll need to use them, including selecting a pattern, what size pattern suits your body, pattern symbols, cutting skills, and the secrets of following pattern instructions. You’ll complete a fabulous ladies’ blouse over the four class sessions, and finish with something truly special and just your own to wear! Get the guidance you’re looking for, step-by-step, as you learn the essential skills to creating original clothing.
This class assumes that you’ve completed our Intro Sewing series, or have similar skills. It can be taken before, after or at the same time as our Intermediate series! (Already taken Patterns I? Check out Patterns II, covering more advanced skills and tackling both a dress and a skirt!)
$250 class fee includes pattern and some supplies. You provide fabric and notions for your finished project.
