Class Policies

Class sizes are limited, so register early!  We accept registrations in the order received; if you register online or in person and the class is already full, we’re happy to work with you to ensure you have first dibs next time the class is offered.

We work hard to keep class sizes small so everyone gets all the attention they need.  For that reason, we offer refunds only if the class is full and someone on the waiting list can take your place. This policy also applies to kids’ and tween/teen class cards, which do not expire but are not eligible for refunds. Whipstitch requires a minimum student enrollment for a class to go forward; if a class is canceled, you will receive first spot the next time or a full refund–your choice.

Being on time and attending all classes helps to ensure that all material is covered and that you will learn as much as possible! There are no makeups for missed sessions. If an instructor is sick we will either provide a substitute or we will reschedule the class during a time that is convenient for all participants.

Supply lists or other instructions will be e-mailed by the instructor when you register. We ask that you provide your own sewing machine–no machine is too vintage for us to work with, but do be sure it’s in working condition before bringing it with you to class!  Our staff are always happy to suggest a machine if you’re in the market for one–just ask.
