Whipstitch is a lot of things. It started out as a dream–really, a fantasy, something I’d daydream about on long car rides, but never really was brave enough to think would come true. In the space of two years, though, it went from a thought to a reality and took me along for the ride. I’d love to have you visit online or in person, and am excited to share sewing and crafting and happy ideas with you no matter where you are!

When I was just in the very beginning dream phases of this adventure, I began a blog. I can very clearly remember writing that first post, feeling like I was either starting something I’d never finish or setting my foot on a path that would whisk me away places I’d never imagined. (It really could have gone either way.) Clearly I’ve been whisked, and I’d love for you to stop a spell and visit, Southern-style! Whipstitch Fabrics in Atlanta
As the idea of Whipstitch grew, it became very clear that my fair city of Atlanta was ready and hungry for a fantastic, modern sewing and fabric shop. A place where community could come together, where ideas could be born, where inspiration is waiting, and where there’s some really, really great fabric. Whipstitch Fabrics opened in its present location in March 2010, and is open seven days a week to meet that need!
